About me
Garrett Podgorski is the Director of Program & Support Services for South Cook ISC. He was a teacher for over 12 years and the Curriculum and Instructional Coach for 2 years at the Regional Safe School Program(RSSP) while presenting under the state funding of Foundational Services for balanced assessment and the new social science standards. As an educator and presenter for South Cook Intermediate Service Center(SCISC), he has built relationships with schools while presenting on a variety of topics from Trauma Informed Lens, Engaged Learning, Culturally Responsive Teachers/Leaders, SEL topics, etc. Currently, he is consulting schools in their development of SEL implementation, defining data by using assessment tools geared towards SEL, and improving chronic absenteeism. He provides extensive professional development on implementing social and emotional system wide, building capacity of SEL team members and staff.
