Brian is the Co-Diretor for the Midwest PBIS Network, which he helped establish in 2014. For the past twenty-five years, he has supported a range of educational settings from general education, to higher education, to alternative schools and residential care. In his leadership capacity, Brian directs the Midwest PBIS Network to build capacity across the cascade of implementation from state departments to schools. He is currently implementing model demonstrations of the Interconnected Systems Framework in both regional/county and LEA sites. As a partner with the USDOE Center on PBIS, he supports workgroups on classroom practices, students with disabilities, and alternative schools, and coordinates the internal evaluation activities of the Center. Brian’s interest areas and curricular development include district capacity building, community mental health integration, Tier 1 foundations, classroom management, behavior de-escalation, and bullying prevention.
