About me
Brittany Richmond is a dynamic teen mental health speaker, bestselling author, and mental health expert with over a decade of experience helping young people feel seen, heard, and supported. Diagnosed with multiple anxiety disorders (including an impulse control disorder) right after high school, Brittany turned her own struggle into a mission: end the stigma and help teens stop suffering in silence.
Known for her high-energy, emotionally engaging style, Brittany has spoken on youth leadership stages nationwide: mixing powerful storytelling, humor, and real-life tools that actually stick. She teaches her signature, evidence-based, trademarked Tell Me More Method™ to help students move from isolation to connection through curious questions and meaningful conversation.
Brittany was honored with the 2024 Voice for Positive Change Award from the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health and Operation Snowball, LLC, and her debut book, Lies My Anxiety Has Told Me, became a bestseller. Her interactive keynotes help students build resilience, challenge negative self-talk, and create supportive spaces without it feeling like a lecture.
When she’s not on stage, Brittany is hanging with her husband Zach and her kittens, Fox & Fin, rocking out to 80s hair bands, riding her Peloton, and binge-watching Gilmore Girls. She lives in Green Valley, Illinois, and proudly calls herself a “hot-mess express”… with a microphone.
