About me
Marisa Mathews is a K-8 school counselor in Chicago Public Schools. She also serves CPS as a District RAMP Coordinator, where she supports schools applying for the ASCA RAMP designation through professional development and mentoring sessions. She is active in the Illinois School Counseling Association, as a mentor in the Emerging Leaders program, co-chair of the Awards Committee, and a member of the ISCA/Illinois School Board of Education Advisory Council. She earned RAMP at her school in 2023 and has been a RAMP reviewer for ASCA for the last three years. She was selected by ISCA as the Illinois School Counselor of the Year in 2024.
